The rollout of holiday viral campaigns has begun. Gap is out as an early contender with Cheer Factory. Regrettably bothersome.

It features Gap-clad cheerleaders doing chants like "Good luck with that bird" and "You office party hardied." You can, however, personalize the cheer for a friend which is a cool feature.

Preserving Patagonia

In 1968, Yvon Chouinard and Doug Tompkins went on a 10,000 mile adventure in hopes of finding the last wild place on earth. Today, 2 million acres in Patagonia are under permanent protection because of that 1 experience.

Introducing a new film inspired by the 1968 trip--an adventure beginning in California and ending in southern Chile.

180° South is a movement carried out by surfer Chris Malloy, who directed the film; and Jeff Johnson who guided the journey.

Singer/songwriter Mason Jennings, who joined the 180° South crew, is offering a free download of his song "Black" here.
